Jacqueline Hurgoiu

Jacqueline Hurgoiu Associate

Jacqueline Hurgoiu is an attorney with Sprott Newsom Quattlebaum Messenger, focusing her practice on insurance defense in personal injury litigation and healthcare litigation. Ms. Hurgoiu is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas.

In her practice, she believes that even though a legal career can make you feel like you need to be aggressive, it is paramount to be respectful to those you interact with. She is also an honest team player, making her a perfect fit with the culture of the firm, which to her “feels more like a family than a firm.” Importantly, the fact that she is a first generation American and the first in her family to graduate college helps her relate to and understand a variety of types of clients.

Ms. Hurgoiu graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, cum laude. Subsequently, she earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston, cum laude where she received the Hyman L. Slohm Scholarship and an Academic Merit Scholarship. During law school, she was selected to serve as a Member of the Currents: Journal of International Economic Law. She won Best Respondent Brief, 2nd Place in the National Criminal Procedure Tournament at Georgetown University Law Center and Best Team and Second-Best Brief at the 2018 Spurgeon Bell Memorial Intramural Moot Court Tournament. She also qualified for inclusion in Phi Delta Phi, a Legal Honor Society.

She  is a member of the Houston Bar Association Labor and Employment Section and the State Bar of Texas. She has been a Licensed Realtor in Texas and has worked in the real estate industry since 2009.
